fail. fail. fail. yml.

fail. that is the topic of this post. there has been a great amount of fail in my life recently. well, there's always a lot of fail, but there seems to be slightly more than usual lately.

take today's nap. ultra fail. i came home from work uber exhausted and decided to nap after dinner. well i just lied in bed and couldn't even succeed in my napping. how is that even possible? i'm like the best napper ever! i even nap when i don't want to.
for instance, i have napped while standing up. like a cow. except i fall down. this occurred when i interned yamaha. i was participating in a "time study." which is the worst job for an industrial engineer. don't ever become a performance/sixsigma/kaizen/ anything. it is the worstest. anyways, in the LOUD atv assembly plant, i was able to fall asleep and fall down. fortunately, there were spare parts all around me and when i fell, nobody could see me. unfortunately, the floor was concrete and i was in much pain for the next few days.
i have also napped while talking to someone face to face. also at yamaha, there was another intern there, and well, let's just say he was a boring/annoying/ijustwanttopunchhimintheface type of person. anyways, we were supposed to work together on something. i forget what because when i work with people i don't like i tend not to listen. while we were brainstorming, apparently, i fell asleep. how do i know this? bc i was woken up to him nudging me and saying, "john, you fell asleep while i was talking." apparently.

poor guy. i felt bad. not bad enough to stay at yamaha though. i did not return for my second term. why they even asked me back is beyond me.

another failure occurred yesterday. the zune i ordered came in and i was superexcited! it was a 4gb refurb + fm transmitter + case for $50. which is exactly what i've needed. a cheap mp3 player that i can use in my car. so i opened everything and plugged it into my mac to discover.. zunes do NOT work on macs. what kind of bullcrappers is that?! i could understand if the main program doesn't work, but at least let me drag and drop into the zune like a usb! how is bill gates so dumb?! argh. i was soooo angry. luckily i was able to l33th4xx0rs (did i spell that right? i'm really not good with computers. at all.). and got it running on my mac after downloading parallels and xp onto my mac. so i hurriedly put 4gbs worth of music on my zune and went to sleep.
the next morning i drove to work listening to my zune all excited. the quality wasn't very good though, mostly cuz of the fm transmitter. anyone know how to find the best station to use in atl?
anyways, for lunch i decided to drive to subway with my coworker. and of course he has to play with my zune. and what comes on? carrie underwood. and not just any carrie underwood. "ever ever after" by carrie underwood. and what is the cd cover for that song?

WHAT.

let's just say there was a brief awkward silence. if you remember, i am still rather new at work and so nobody really knows me that well. i really don't think this will help me make friends...

oh. and also, a few weeks ago. i was eating an ice cream sandwich. and went to throw away the wrapper. instead i threw away the ice cream and was left with only the wrapper. and the sound of my sister laughing at me. but many of you already know this. and will never let me live it down. sigh.

besides my chronic failings. life has been ultra good. good enough for me to send out this tweet yesterday..

yayy. anyways, things have been grrrreat. i dont even know why. but it is. although i am sad that i haven't really had much time to blog or even think about blogging. i work then ball or do something else till real late and don't have much time to get a good post out. the only new thing i can think of is my new promise to get back in shape. i hope to be able to rep 200 lbs in bench by the end of the year. i dont know why, but i decided i wanted to do that.
